INVOLVE. EQUIP. ENHANCE. REACH OUT. DREAM BIG.

        Why Membership?

Biblical Reasons: Membership makes visible our commitment to the body of Christ (Rom. 12:5, Eph. 2:19; etc.), and it enables us to more readily obey many of the verses in the Bible that assume a commitment to a specific body of believers (Rom. 12:16, 15:7, 1 Cor. 1:10, Eph. 4:2, 4:32, 5:21, Col. 3:13, Thess. 5:11, Heb. 10:24, 1Peter 4:9, etc.)

Personal Reasons: Membership in a local church produces spiritual growth. The New Testament places a major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you’re not committed to any specific church family. It provides a spiritual family to support and encourage you in your walk with Christ and gives you a place to discover and use your gifts.

Practical Reasons: Membership defines who can be counted on. Every team must have a roster. Every school must have an enrollment. Every business has a payroll. Every army has an enlistment. Even our country takes a census and requires voter registration. Membership identifies our family.

Do I have to become a member to serve?
No, you do not have to become a member to serve at New Hope Ministries Int’l. Most of our service opportunities are available to members and non-members alike. However, membership is required to vote in church business meetings or joining leadership or Church Stewardship Boards.
